Our Story
At WinSport, we go beyond the ordinary, cultivating a dynamic space where the spirit of sport and adventure intertwines with the essence of healthy active lifestyles. Our world-class facilities are gateways to unparalleled experiences that transcend seasons and boundaries.
WinSport stands as the proud owner and operator of Canada Olympic Park, an icon nestled on the western edge of the City of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. WinSport is a catalyst for Canadians of all ages and abilities to embrace healthy, active lifestyles through its cutting-edge facilities and diverse programming.
A pivotal player in the sports landscape, our legacy dates back to the 1988 Winter Olympics, where the WinSport campus served as a key venue for bobsleigh, luge, ski jumping, and freestyle skiing events.
Since then, we’ve evolved into a year-round destination, hosting major sporting events, training and competition opportunities for high-performance sport, and recreational opportunities for all Calgarians.
Why we exist
WinSport is founded on our unwavering belief and one firm truth: that everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed in sports, in whatever way they define it.
As a not-for-profit, we’re not just about providing exceptional venues and unparalleled access; we’re about breaking down barriers, fostering inclusivity, and building a community where anyone, regardless of their background or ability level, can discover and pursue their passion for sport. We provide training, coaching, competition, and recreation facilities to be used by high-performance athletes, developing athletes, and the community.
Born out of high-performance sport and the spirit of the Olympic Games, our goal is to empower individuals to reach their full potential, inspire growth, build perseverance and resilience, and create a space where the love of sport unites us all.
Join us in making this vision a reality, because together, we can transform lives through the power of sport.
